Miscellaneous Configuration Items
You can use this dialog to configure miscellaneous items for the
EMWAC Internet Mail Services.
- Copy local failure reports to postmaster
- If you check this box, then the postmaster will be sent a copy of
any failure reports for local users only.
- SMTP Gateway Host
- You can specify the host name (or the IP address) of an SMTP server to which all non-local
mail will be sent. This may be useful if for instance you are using IMS within a company
which stipulates that all outside mail must go through a company-wide mail gateway.
Default: no gateway.
- Accept Mail For
- In some circumstances it is difficult for IMS to know which mail domains to treat as
local. You may specify a list of domains which SMTPDS will assume to be "local" - ie mail
to someone@domain, where domain is in this list, will be delivered to
local user someone.
