This documentation package provides overview and reference information on the features of the Microsoft SDK for Java™ 1.5.1. The SDK for Java provides the tools, information, and samples that you need to develop great Java programs and applets. Because the SDK contains Microsoft's latest Virtual Machine for Java as well as the latest tools, packages, and other enhancements, it is the one place you will always turn to first for your Java programming needs.

Features Added with the SDK for Java 1.5.1 Release

The documentation has been updated for the following new or updated features included in this release of the SDK for Java:

Creating and Using Cabinet Files for Java Applets and Libraries Describes the updated cabarc utility and how to build cabinet files to deliver your applets, multimedia files, and class libraries.
Using the Microsoft Script Debugger with the Microsoft VM Explains how to use the new Microsoft Script Debugger to debug Java code using the Microsoft VM for Java.
Plugin for Netscape Navigator Explains how to install and use the new Microsoft VM for Java plugin for Navigator.
Dispatch and Variant Classes Describes new classes for marshaling parameters between native code and Java.
NT System Service Classes Describes new classes for creating an NT system service in Java.
